I’m delighted to see my essay Fictional Worlds published on the Thresholds website. For those who like to read and/or write fiction, you may well be aware of the existence of this fantastic site, which is based at the University of Chichester. It offers a wealth of information on the short form for both readers and writers; as ‘home of the international short story forum’, it really is worth taking some time to browse through.
My essay is a personal recommendation of Rose Tremain’s short story collection, The American Lover. If you do have time to take a look, I hope you enjoy the piece. Either way, I urge you to sample some of Tremain’s fiction – short or novels – she really is a master.
